Our History

KV AFS Thane was established on 19 September 1981 as a Defence Sector Vidyalaya.The Highest class is XII Science and Commerce. This Vidyalaya is approx 8kms from Thane Railway Station (West).

It is housed in an A type spacious building in idyllic and peaceful surroundings with woods as its pillow and the creek as its footrest, making it a perfect location for our Vidyalaya.

At present the enrolment of the Vidyalaya is 1207 students in first shift and 197 in second shift and no. of class rooms are 28. The Vidyalaya boasts of three well-equipped science laboratories & a well stocked library rich with books & magazines. The Vidyalaya was privileged to be selected as a model school. A full-fledged computer department for the primary & secondary classes has been set up. It also has a Junior Science Lab & a well-equipped Activity/Resource Room. Besides academic excellence, it has facilities for outdoor games & sports such as Basketball, Volleyball, Kho-Kho,Handball & Kabaddi. It has a team of well-qualified teachers.
