SCOUTS AND GUIDES

Thinking Day Celebrated on 22nd February 2010

Culture came to life ones again in KV Thane ground when the students celebrated the 158th birthday if Lord Baden Powell with great hullabaloo on 22nd February 2010. our honorable Principal madam Ms. Sudeep Arora was the Chief Guest of the program for morale boosting of Scouts. Memories of Sir Baden Powell were regenerated by lighting of the lamp by Principal Madam. Master Siddhant Prakash Goyal of XI B gave important information about emergence and importance of Scouts movement. The flag was hoisted and scouts saluted with honor. Then holy verses of all religions were recited in which our Principal Madam energetically participated. Her gracious presence was a great source of inspiration for all the students. The programme came to end with her enlightening speech addressed to everyone present there. The scouts marched across the Air Force Campus with honor appealing for peace and brotherhood. It was a grand celebration indeed.

Exploring Adventure at Panchmarhi

The Scouts/Guides unit of KV Thane had a golden oppotunity to participate in the National Adventure Compaign at Panchmarhi, MP from 03.01.2010 to 09.01.2010. Ms Meena Sharma and Lichhman Ram escorted 09 Scouts and 09 guides. Adventure activities like Trekking, Rock climbing and Obstracle crossing were conducted during the day. The evening were filled with fun and frolic around the camp-fire.

" SHRAMDAN" was given by the students of Scouts and Guides.

KV THANE UNITS

SCOUTS AND SCOUT MASTER participated in the PULSE POLIO ERADICATION PROGRAMME which was organized at Air Force Station, Thane on 6th December 2009.

CUBS AND BULBUL UTSAV ON CLUSTER LEVEL 14th November 2009.

RAJYA PURASKAR TESTING CAMP

Mast K A Abhishek XIth (Sci) and Mast Pratik Punewar of XIth (Sci) of our Vidyalaya, awarded by RAJYA PURASKAR AWARD in the Testing Camp organized by Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan at K V No. 1 Tambran, Chennai from 6/10/2009 to 10/10/2009.

Jambori 2009

Students selected for National Mini Jambori from 26 Dec 08 to 1st Jan 09and later on selected for special National Jambori at Ahmedabad, Gujrat University from 1 to 7 Feb 09.

CUBS BULBUL UTSAV 14.11.2008

Cubs and Bulbul Utsav was organized at K V Bhandup on 14th Nov 2008. 20 cubs and bulbul from our school participated in it. Many compititions like 'making of Den and Nest, Book Balancing, Reef Knot relay race and Ready for school' were arranged. Our both Bulbuls won the prize in the Reef knot relay race.
